Stefano's Ii Brick Oven Pizza

Stefano's Ii Brick Oven Pizza Pizza restaurant

Overview

Tucked away on 3855 Hulmeville Rd in Bensalem, locals know that Stefano's Ii Brick Oven Pizza is more than just a neighborhood pizzeria—it’s a gathering spot where classic Italian flavors meet the comfort of a family diner. The warm scent of fresh dough greets you at the door, and the brick oven in the back makes all the difference. From crispy crusts that hold up perfectly under layers of cheese to hearty pasta dishes, every item on the menu feels thoughtfully crafted. Many regulars say their go-to is the classic margherita pizza, though the chicken parm hero and baked ziti earn just as much praise.

What makes the place stand out isn’t just the food, but the way it feels like home. The location is convenient for Bensalem residents and travelers passing through, and the cozy interior sets the tone for casual dinners with friends or family gatherings. Reviews often highlight how attentive the staff are, making sure that tables never go too long without a refill or a friendly check-in. For anyone exploring nearby eateries, this spot has built its reputation on consistency and quality—a combination that keeps people coming back year after year.

When looking at how diners evaluate Italian restaurants across Pennsylvania, freshness and authenticity are usually top priorities. According to a National Restaurant Association survey, nearly 60% of customers prefer restaurants that cook pizzas in traditional ovens, associating them with richer flavors and better textures. That’s exactly why the brick oven here draws attention—it’s not just a detail, it’s central to the experience. Local food bloggers have even noted that the crust here manages the balance of chewy and crisp better than many other places in Bucks County.

Beyond pizza, the menu expands to comforting appetizers like garlic knots and wings, plus salads that balance out the heavier dishes. Guests often mention the lunch specials as an affordable way to enjoy a hearty meal without overspending. With plenty of positive reviews and word-of-mouth recommendations, the restaurant has cemented its place as a trusted choice for both casual meals and special occasions. Whether you’re craving a quick slice or planning a sit-down dinner, this Bensalem location blends tradition, flavor, and reliability in a way that feels timeless.

Love this place, I’ve ordered delivery and takeout and I’ve had great experiences both times! The workers are so welcoming and friendly, the delivery is fast, the prices are amazing, and the food is delicious! This is my new go-to pizza place!

From the dough to the sauces (wiz included), everything tastes homemade and authentic. You can definitely tell the owner (and employees) take pride in what they serve to the customer. I've tried multiple slices and dishes - never a disappointment! When you come in here, it's like being in "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. And now I know why locals love it; if I lived nearby, I'd be here every day.

It was great, service was fast and everything was hot and yummy. We have original wings, they are breaded I wasnt prepared for that but they were good. Lots of flavor and a little kick. Had a garden salad, hard to screw that up and they didnt. Lots of dressing and they had good ranch and blue cheese. We ordered a cheese pizza with basil, the basil wasnt whole leaf like I was expecting but it still added a nice flavor. Over all it was all good food with good customer service so I'm sure we will be back soon.

I love this place. For pizza it is my go to, hands down. It's never a disappointment. The food is always consistent. I know exactly what I'm getting and when it's delivered my pizza isn't all destroyed by the time I get it. The employees are always pleasant and kind and everyone seems to enjoy their jobs there. Which, if I'm being honest, is hard to come by these days. The sauce is great. I hate pizza with a sweet pizza sauce taste, so if that's what you're going for this isn't the pizza for you, unless you go with a white pizza or buffalo chicken. Id recommend this place over any other in the area. And as an avid pizza lover I feel like I've tried pretty much all of them. I used to eat taranovas and one day when I called they were not open so on a whim I called here. I've never even glanced in the rearview. There is no race, these guys have won it all by a mile.

I notice the last few times they changed their sauce on their pizza. I don't know if they got a new cheaper pizza sauce. It's not the same as before. Almost like they have a tomato sauce because it's thinner then pizza sauce and has no flavor to it. The pizza crust becomes soggy. I know that sometimes pizza places will substitute a tomato sauce if they run out of their pizza sauce. I know this because my family used to own a pizza parlor. And I worked at several different pizza places. I think I probably won't be ordering pizzas from there anymore.

My grandchildren and I were at the Bensalem library and adjacent playground. We'll, Kids being kids, they became ravenous. Saw the pizza shop across the street, figured sure.. perfect.. The restaurant smelled incredible as soon as we entered. We ordered a couple slices. They gave my grandchildren an extra treat. The pizza was so delicious. My 4 year old grandson exclaimed " how is this so good?". Yup, it was that good! Perfect spot to refuel after an afternoon of fun. The cook and server were so lovely to the kids. Food is top notch. 11 out 10 do recommend
